01-02-2023: The Results of the 2023 Kingston University's RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

We did it! 12 sites surveyed with 11 surveyors over the four days that we did our counts - read on for more details :)
We had a great time getting all of our counts completed at Kingston University this year.

We managed to cover all sites and the results are in the tables and charts below:

The table contains the raw data for the sites, where a site had two surveys done in the same location, the results were amalgamated to show the maximum count during either survey.

The species found across the most sites (when the sites were amalgamated to campus, were Carron crows, Wood pigeons and Magpies, found on 9 of the 12 sites surveyed.
In second place we had blue tits, pigeons and jackdaws found on 9 of the 12 sites surveyed.

The site with the most species in 2023 was Knights Park, taking the top spot off of Tolworth Court from 2022.

the table and chart above shows the data for the maximum number of species surveyed for any one site over the last 2 years. gaps in the data are due to sites which didn't get surveyed at the time.

Thank you to everyone who took part. We''ll be back again, same weekend in 2024 to survey all of our sites - wonder which site will come up top them!

Til next time

Take care
